If the deceleration process is strictly required, we need to select some buffer mechanisms that are close to constant deceleration, such as porous cylinder or porous plunger. If the hydraulic cylinder is allowed to bear some pulses during deceleration, then cone or double cone buffer mechanisms can be used.
It should be noted that the flow capacity of the one-way valve in the selected buffer device should not be too low, otherwise it may not play an ideal role in practical application. For example, if the buffer device is not designed reasonably, the starting background may suddenly stop or reverse when the hydraulic cylinder is started from the side with buffer device. Therefore, the flow capacity of the one-way valve should be considered when designing the buffer device.
